Mike Tyson’s face tattoo has also found its way into the cinematic universe. Several filmmakers have sampled it on the big screen, with ‘Hang Over’ being one of the most famous portrayals. Actor Ed Helms inked the Tyson tattoo on his face as ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ also did a cameo in the film. Hence, it’s nothing new that Tyson’s face tattoo is grabbing attention, as it has been doing since its inception in 2003.

Mike Tyson popped up in 2003 with a massive tattoo on the side of his face. At the time, his behavior was becoming increasingly erratic, so most people attributed the new facial ink to his odd antics. It wasn’t until a 2014 interview with The Guardian that he explained the true reason behind his body art. “I just hated myself then,” he said. “I literally wanted to deface myself.”

“I’d tell her: ‘Read this article, Mom.’ She’d say: ‘Yeah, I’ll read it later … ‘ She didn’t have any hope in me because I let her down so much,” he told the publication. “She must have wondered: ‘What do these white people see in my son?'”

Mike Tyson arrived on the heavyweight scene like a great white beneath a crashing wave. Eyes that were dead but could drill right through you. And those teeth, straight out of Mack the Knife: “When that shark bites… scarlet billows start to spread.” Next, a body was usually dumped on the canvas, oozing life.

Silver screen legend Olivia de Havilland, for example, sued FX Studios for briefly depicting her in a miniseries about Hollywood rivals Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. She won at trial, though an appeals court reversed her victory, citing the producers’ First Amendment rights.

Discovery and Direction: At 10, Tyson’s life took a pivotal turn. A local youth center trainer spotted his innate strength and aggression, recognizing the potential for a future in boxers make boxing. This discovery gave Tyson a much-needed direction, channeling his turbulent energy into a disciplined pursuit.

Trying to restore his marred image of a bloodthirsty animal in vengeance, Tyson made a clean-up effort. He fought some undistinguished opponents before standing tall against Andrzej Golota. Meanwhile, he was twice sent to jail for his involvement in the road incident where he assaulted two motorist and traces of marijuana being found in his body.

By the time Mike Tyson met him, D’Amato had largely retired from the sport, but he maintained a training camp at an old Victorian house in the Catskills, courtesy of his mistress, Camille Ewald. Usually there were five or six aspiring fighters in residence. Fight-film entrepreneur Jimmy Jacobs provided the equipment. (D’Amato had helped others to riches, but his own money always seemed to slip through his fingers, often lent to friends unable to pay him back.) “I want to clarify the recent portrayal of an event I attended,” he wrote on Thursday. “Invited for a casual evening out by a friend, I was unaware of the arranged fundraiser and no donations were made by me or on my behalf. As a Muslim and human, I support peace. My prayers have been and continue to be with my brothers and sisters.”

At the age of 17 she moved to Beijing, where she worked various odd jobs: cashier at a supermarket, kindergarten teacher, security guard and hotel desk clerk. In 2010 she found a job at a local Beijing gym as a fitness instructor, and was allowed to use their equipment for free after the gym closed in the evenings. During that time she would also pick up Brazilian jiu-jitsu, after watching others grappling there.
