朝聖圖

The picture is derived from the painting stones of the Han Dynasty(202BC-220). In the middle of the picture, there are two worshippers, Confucius on the left and Lao Tzu on the right. According to the historical records, when Confucius was young, he wanted to go to the Zhou Dynasty to ask for rites and visit Lao Tzu at the same time. For this reason, the king of the state of Lu gave him a car, two horses and a servant. After seeing Lao Tzu, Confucius told his disciples that Lao Tzu was a dragon and his knowledge was too profound. The picture was widely popular in the Han Dynasty, symbolizing respect for the elderly and respect for knowledge.
