Anshun local opera has a history of more than 600 years in Guizhou Province. It originates from the ancient Nuo ceremony. At the ceremony, the masked man acted as the God who drove away the plague, called Nuo God, and performed some dance movements. For more than 600 years, the masks in Anshun have preserved an ancient atmosphere and become a unique cultural symbol in Anshun.
